Kalimantan Cup – Bali
Two connecting flights, and almost twenty hours flying time was well worth the trip to the magnificent Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali resort.
Peforming at such a special venue for Noble Energy at the Kalamantan Cup, is by far the most spectacular setting to date that the KC Golf Show has performed in.
Designed by Greg Norman, Nirwana Bali Golf Club is a visual masterpiece of dramatic ocean views being one of the most photographed Golf Courses in the world.
The Stunning Par 3 8th Hole
The Trick Shot Show was a huge success, and without doubt the crowds favourite was watching the 250 yard drives that were struck from inside the inflated balloons.
Dressed for the occassion in white IJP Trousers I was all smiles having my photograph taken with the delightful Nirwana Bali Caddies.
Straight after the show a shot gun start of a 144 competitors competing all found there starting holes, and throughout the afternoon I got to meet all guests on Hole No.5 as I was running a longest drive trick shot challenge. The challenge being striking a ball from one of the Giant Tee’s, and as you can imagine I witnessed an array of unplanned tricks.
Eventuall winner, and fully desereved was Tony Garmeister who nailed the tall tee shot, coupled with finding the middle of the fairway.
I would personally like to thank Tim Gazzard of Noble Energy, the co-ordinator Harmony Le Riche for her professionalism in organising this special trip, and all the Staff at the Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort for making my stay memorable.
