KC Travels back to India
This was the third visit to India for the KC Golf Show having previously visited Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Chennai.
This time I was in the countries Capital, Delhi performing at the DLF Country Club and the Manesar Golf Club. It was a busy couple days with three shows and a tuition clinic to cram in before heading back home to the UK.
The first of two shows at the DLF Club was for guests invited by the global bank HSBC. The guests ranged from complete beginners to established golfers so it was nice to be able to pass on my coaching knowledge in the clinic straight after the morning show.
Later in the afternoon the 2nd show was arranged for the Club Members courtessy of Academy Staff Anitya Chand and Karan Bindra.
Audience participation is always a fun part of the show and here I’m pictured with the juniors who all wanted to be involved. As you can imagine the show went on a little longer than normal, but the parents didn’t mind as they all got to watch their son/daughter take part in the trick show.
Also at the DLF Club was India’s Smriti Mehra who was practising ahead of next weeks Ladies European Tour Event, the Indian Open. Nicknamed Simi, she is the first Indian Golfer to play full time on the LPGA Tour and did so for eleven years between 1997 – 2008.
The following day we weaved our way in and out of the traffic to Manesar Golf Club for the Little Masters Tournament. Faisal Qureshi works tirelessly in organising the junior event and I was delighted to be a part of the day. Fifty kids took part in the 9am shot gun start with prizes up for grabs in three different age groups.
Whilst Faisal marked the cards and prepared the prize giving, I kept the kids entertained with my third and final show of my latest tour of India.
After the presentation signing the kids baseball caps was a popular choice!
