KC Golf Show

Kim Jansson Classic Golf Day

As a speedway fan it was a great honour for the KC Golf Show to perform at Rushmere Golf Club in aid of the Kim Jansson Classic Golf Day.

The Swedish Star suffered an horrific speedway crash in Eskilstuna in August 2008 which sadly left him paralysed from the waist down.

Kim who lives in Sweden made the special journey to be present at the Suffolk Club. It was great to see him bombing round the course on his buggy chatting away and looking in great form.

Amongst the 104 competitors taking part was Ipswich Witches Captain Kevin Doolan, and team manager Pete Simonds, who also had Witches Star Taylor Poole on the bag.

Many more came along for the evening’s entertainment, in which the KC Golf Show was delighted to put on a fantastic display for Kim and all the supporters of the Kim Jansson Charity.

Much to the success of this year’s golf day, the Kim Jansson Classic has been set for next year on 7th September 2012. As soon as Kevin was informed of the date The KC Golf Show pencilled the date in the diary to avoid a double booking!

After the show Kevin spoke to Kim and Manager Simonds, who both had plenty of positive feedback for the KC Golf Show performance.

Following on from the event Kevin met with organisers of the golf day at Foxhall Stadium for the Witches next home meeting against Workington Comets which Kevin is pleased to say ended in a convincing 3pts for the Suffolk side.
