Royal Burges Golf Society – May 2014
As you can see from the photo below, The Royal Burges Golf Society came out in full force to support the clubs open day. It was fantastic to see so many youngsters amongst the audience. It’s a long drive to Edingburgh from Ipswich, but it was well worth it.
Royal Burges Golf Club is full of history dating back to 1735, it’s the oldest golfing society in the world and one of only ten ‘Royal’ Golf Clubs in Scotland. So as you can imagine arriving wearing bright blue trousers riding a Unicycle I wasn’t sure if I would be welcome??? On the contary, I had a great time and was made to feel very welcome, even with the pink hair after last months events of the London Marathon.
I wish Royal Burges all the very best, I sure hope there’s an opportunity to return sometime in the near future.
